BALL CLAY
Premium Ball Clay
A highly plastic, fine-grained sedimentary clay essential for enhancing the workability, green strength, and structural integrity of fine ceramics, sanitaryware, and tiles.
Ball Clay Overview
Ball clays are secondary, sedimentary clays highly prized for their exceptional plasticity and binding strength. They are primarily composed of a complex mixture of kaolinite, mica, and quartz.
Because of their extremely fine particle size and unique organic content, they are highly cohesive. While they appear dark grey or brown in their raw state due to carbonaceous material, they fire to a highly desirable light or off-white color.
Acting as the "glue" in ceramic bodies, our premium Ball Clay ensures that materials hold their shape before and during the firing process, reducing cracking and improving the overall durability of the final product.

Industrial Applications
🚽 Sanitaryware
Provides the vital green strength and casting properties required to mold complex shapes like sinks and toilets.
🍽️ Fine Ceramics & Tableware
Imparts high plasticity and a smooth finish to porcelain and fine china without compromising fired color.
🧱 Wall & Floor Tiles
Acts as a crucial binding agent, ensuring structural integrity and dimensional stability during the pressing process.
⚡ Electrical Porcelain
Used for its high dielectric strength, ensuring insulators can withstand high-voltage environments effectively.
