Product Description

Polypropylene Fiber Overview

Polypropylene (PP) Fiber is a synthetic, high-performance reinforcement additive used extensively in the construction industry. Manufactured from 100% virgin polypropylene resin, these microscopic fibers are added directly into the concrete or mortar mix.

As concrete cures, water evaporates, naturally leading to plastic shrinkage and the formation of microscopic cracks. When PP Fibers are distributed throughout the cement matrix in their millions, they act as tiny internal shock absorbers. They intercept these micro-cracks before they can grow into visible structural faults, protecting the integrity of the slab.

Beyond crack prevention, PP Fibers significantly improve the concrete's shatter resistance, abrasion resistance, and freeze-thaw durability. Because they are completely chemically inert, they will never rust or corrode, even in highly alkaline concrete environments or coastal areas.

  • Eliminates up to 90% of early-stage plastic shrinkage cracks
  • Replaces non-structural steel wire mesh in flatwork slabs
  • Improves the shatter, impact, and abrasion resistance of concrete
  • Exceptional resistance to alkali, acids, and harsh chemicals
  • Extremely easy to mix; disperses evenly without balling up
  • Zero water absorption, meaning no changes to mix water ratios

Core Industrial Applications

Industrial Floors & Slabs

Provides crucial secondary reinforcement to warehouse floors, driveways, and pavements, preventing surface cracking under heavy traffic.

Plasters & Renders

When using shorter length fibers (e.g., 6mm), it drastically reduces cracking and rebounding in exterior wall plasters and stucco.

Shotcrete (Sprayed Concrete)

Improves the cohesion of the concrete mix, reducing rebound waste during spraying in tunnels, pools, and retaining walls.

Precast Concrete

Increases the structural toughness and reduces damage during the demolding, lifting, and transportation of precast elements.
