SILICA SAND
Premium Silica Sand
High-purity quartz sand known for its hardness, chemical inertness, and precise grain sizing. Extensively utilized in glass manufacturing, metal casting, water filtration, and advanced construction materials.
Silica Sand Overview
Silica Sand, frequently referred to as industrial sand, is composed almost exclusively of quartz that has been naturally broken down and rounded over time. It is distinguished by its high purity, maintaining at least 95%—and often over 99%—Silicon Dioxide (SiO2) content.
Unlike common construction or bank-run sand, our premium silica sand undergoes a rigorous process of washing, sizing, and grading. This guarantees a consistent, uniform particle distribution and effectively eliminates undesirable impurities such as clay, silt, and iron oxides.
Its exceptional hardness (7.0 on the Mohs scale), chemical resistance, and high melting temperature make it the foundational raw material for modern glass manufacturing, foundry mold casting, and specialized abrasive and water filtration systems.
- ✔ Extremely high SiO2 purity (Up to 99.5%)
- ✔ Washed and precisely graded for uniform particle sizes
- ✔ Low iron content required for high-clarity glass
- ✔ Chemically inert and highly resistant to acids
- ✔ High thermal shock resistance for metal casting molds
- ✔ Excellent permeability for water filtration media

Industrial Applications
🪟 Glass Manufacturing
The primary component in all types of glass—including flat glass, container glass, and fiberglass—providing the essential silicon dioxide network.
⚙️ Foundry Casting
Due to its high fusion point and structural stability under extreme heat, it is widely utilized for creating molds and cores for metal casting.
🚰 Water Filtration
Its uniform grain size, spherical shape, and chemical inertness make it a highly effective and long-lasting filter media for water treatment.
🏗️ Construction & Ceramics
Serves as a vital functional filler in paints, plastics, structural ceramics, and specialized oil well cementing applications.
